Our client sought to develop a brownfield site to provide 60 social rent flats provided within 2 new build buildings located on a site adjacent to the M90 motorway on the north side of Dundee.
Our service included the scoping and production of a supporting Transport Statement and Travel Plan framework. We worked with the council’s Roads and Transportation Team to agree the assessment scope and produced a bespoke Transport Statement that focused on the sites sustainable travel potential. We analysis the existing and future planned Active Travel network to identify opportunities to promote the developments walking and cycling connections with the adjacent network.
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary, multi-organisation design team including engineers and landscape architects, we undertook pre-application discussions with the council to provide early identification of the key challenges. We worked through a range of options and develop the surface access strategy before producing the Transport Statement.
