Study Description
A part of the Benromach Distillery and Visitor Experience site expansion, we were commissioned to support the development planning application for the provision of 2 new whisky warehouses. Our services include the scoping and preparation of a supporting Transport Assessment and providing access advice to the design team.
Our Approach
Working again as part of a multi-disciplinary, multi-organisation design team including engineers and landscape architects, we proactively sought to identify the barriers to sustainable design identifying land ownership, safety and access challenges. We took the lead in evaluating potential footway/cycleway routes to agree a deliverable route and supporting design standard. Our Transport Statement was bespoke to address the unique challenges associated with the site.
