Study Description

Part of the team supporting a Civil Engineering company, we supported the value engineering process of a stage 3 and 4 detailed and technical design. Through the detailed design process we removed the need to reinstate a historic canal side ramp located within a scheduled ancient monument area, relocated a toucan crossing on the A83 to better align with everyday travel desire lines and worked with local property owner to negotiate the sale of land needed to support the design. The resulting developed design was estimated to reduce capital costs by around 40%.
We supported the project through public consultation using our range of tools and techniques and produced a video flythrough of the design to assist in communicating the design changes.
